Revenue Forecasting
A company with a highly volatile revenue profile needed a tool to enable them to estimate their future income.
I carried out an analysis of the way in which units passed through their books in various stages, such as Pending, Under Offer, Work in Progress, Withdrawn, Sold etc. From this analysis I created a probability matrix that enabled me to forecast the likely state of their books in one and two months' time.
A spreadsheet based on this matrix enables them to estimate not only the likely revenue but also the confidence intervals around the forecast.
